Prolog:
Lenot is a super power. The country covers a whole continent. The livings strands are nice  in the nation. You think most people would feel happy about their success, but in the Eline plains the people feel like things could be better. In the area a lot of people are very rich from the gold industry. Every one became very proud and felt that they did need not God.   
A certain fur coat became popular that they only the rich could afford. Not long after that 50% percent of all babies that were being born were deformed, mentally retarded, or were very sick. None of the doctors could find out why the babies weren't normal other than that they had bad genes. They overlooked the germs that caused the problems that were all over the popular fur coats and had infected the wearer. The germs released chemicals that caused birth defects. The infected person never got sick since the germs did not attack the cells but fed on sugar in the host blood stream.  
The people felt that bio engineering was the only way to solve the problem. The line that had been drawn in medical ethics was removed so there were no boundaries in what they could do in hope of finding a cure.
